National Furniture Bank Association
In 1999, 20 furniture banks from across the country created the National Furniture
Bank Association (NFBA). The mission of NFBA is to "create comfortable
home environments by providing furnishings to those in need."
Washington Coalition for the Homeless
has taken the lead since 1984 in training, education, and advocacy with
and on behalf of individuals and families who are homeless in Washington
State. The web site gives information on upcoming events, how you can
take action to help end homelessness, and local county coalitions for
the homeless.
Committee to End Homelessness in King County
consists of eight founding organizations that have worked in recent years
to create a Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness in King County. The site
provides information on the process, homelessness in King County, and
how you can help.
Seattle/King County's Coalition for the Homeless (SKCCH)
lists information about Seattle's one-night street count, statistics for
Seattle/King County homeless trends, resources for service providers and
those who want educational resources, and lists of upcoming lobbying
efforts and upcoming meetings/events.
The National Alliance to End Homelessness
is a nonpartisan, mission-driven organization
committed to preventing and ending homelessness in the United States.

Take It Back
Network is a group of retailers, repair shops, non-profit
organizations, waste haulers and recyclers that offer convenient options
for recycling certain products that should not be disposed of in the
trash.
